Image via WikipediaOne of the important components of the LarKC vision is selection: finding assertions that might be relevant to a particular query or other reasoning problem. I just attended an interesting talk at the AAAI 2008 Workshop “Wikipedia and Artificial Intelligence: An Evolving Synergy”. David Milne talked about a system he and his colleagues at Waikato have built that uses link structure, very quickly, to tell how similar two Wikipedia terms are. Sounds like a good plug-in.
