STI Innsbruck is looking to expand their team working in the European research Project LarKC (Large Knowledge Collider) with a business expert that can mediate between the research activities of LarKC and the industrial marketplace. The role is for a fixed term of approximately two years (part-time) and requires the candidate to:

1. Maintain a watch on activities in the markets of Information Retrieval and Reasoning including key business challenges, trends and emerging products. Summaries of this information will be published internally to the project on a regular basis.
2. Develop a strategy for exploiting LarKC’s technical research results in light of the above market observations, including the identification of the various commercialization possibilities both during and after the lifetime of the project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background involving technology transfer from research to industry and an understanding of Semantic Web technologies and concepts. Experience in EU funded research projects is an advantage.
